Hi Stranger (and, yes, that moniker applies to you, too, Mom. Call me, already!),

Thanks for visiting my website. If you're on this page, you probably want to know a little bit ABOUT me, so here goes: I grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan - which is a well-to-do suburb of Detroit. Like that I just used the adjective well-to-do? You can take the girl out of Grosse Pointe, but you can't take the G.P. out of the girl. Inside GP joke:)

I auditioned for and was cast in my first comedy group, Second Suburb, when I was a sophomore in high school. I fell in love with comedy. Why? Probably because I'm from a family of lawyers, judges and doctors.

When I got to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I found out there was no comedy group, so I decided to found one: Chapel Hill Players, or CHiPs. I majored in Journalism in college, but I feel like I minored in CHiPs. Can someone send me an honorary degree for that, please?

After college, I moved to Chicago and studied comedy at Second City, iO, and The Annoyance Theater. I worked by day as a receptionist, and took classes and hung around the theaters every night of the week. I'm not gonna lie: it was exhausting. Relatively speaking, of course. If I were a garbage collector in Peru for example, I'd know true exhaustion. *if you don't know what I'm talking about travel there and see how hard those mo-fos work! Anyway, back to Chicago: I guess I did something right because I ended up performing at all 3 comedy theaters. The best part: Second City even paid me to perform. And even better, DraftFCB saw me perform there and hired me to freelance copywrite funny commercials with a whole team of hilarious comedians.

After I worked at DraftFCB and Second City for 4 years, I decided the next step was LA, so that's where I am now. Most recently, I played Diane in NBC's Parks and Rec - episode 410 Citizen Knope. I also had a part in the movie Bridesmaids - you can find me in the deleted scenes with Paul Rudd. I dare you to try. Do it, ya wuss. I also do recurring sketch bits for Conan O'Brien on TBS. I love that floppy-haired Irishman. He's so funny! Coming soon: you can hear me as Lauren in a brand new American Dad episode called The Unbrave One, and next fall I'll play the role of Beth in Judd Apatow's new movie This is 40.
